Untitled 6 brooch

Untitled 6 brooch

Part of the "Tangibility Matters" series, Untitled 6 continues the dialogue between digital fabrication and traditional jewellery techniques — a key focus of my doctoral research.

The brooch has been exhibited internationally and is composed of digitally modelled vein-like structures filled with black pigment. Oxidized sterling silver granules and a raw tektite fragment disrupt the smooth surface, embedding the piece with layered tension — between the artificial and organic.

As with other works in this series, the form could not exist without both machine and hand. The structure was 3D printed and finished through meticulous, tactile processes: silver granulation, manual pigment application, stone-setting. The addition of steel pins introduces a mechanical, almost surgical element — fastening memory to matter, and concept to the body.

Untitled 6 evokes something bodily, alien, and intimate — a relic from a speculative future or a forgotten anatomy.
