Pinky’s Dream
Pinky’s Dream is a soft abstraction where delicate pinks drift like memories. But behind its calm surface lies a haze of transformation — physical, emotional, and invisible.
I painted this work in a fog. A hormonal blur after becoming a mother. Everything felt unreal — heavy, pink, tender, and confusing. I don’t remember much of the process. I only remember the feeling: the urge to escape, to disappear into another world.
Each evening, I would return to the canvas. I’d mix the same pale pink — a colour that felt like the safest place on earth. Layer after layer, I breathed in this imagined space, hoping it would hold me longer. It never did. But the painting remains.
This work is a quiet attempt to forget. To float. To be soft. To vanish gently.
