Untitled 2 brooch

An early piece from the "Tangibility Matters" series, Untitled 2 confronts material expectations and hybridises forms of making. A translucent resin body is filled with vein-like black pigment — evoking something anatomical or geological — while handcrafted silver granules and a dark tektite fragment create points of resistance.

The work brings together a meteorite-born mineral, industrial 3D printing, and traditional jewellery techniques. It is finished entirely by hand, animating the machine-made form with touch, memory, and intention.

This brooch marks a key moment in my doctoral research, exhibited internationally and developed as part of a long-term research into the aesthetics of digital craft. Its function is not only to adorn, but to provoke tactile curiosity — to ask how far a body can stretch between past and future.
